TAILOR-MADE specialist Globespan has introduced a Web site designed to help agents build a booking to specific requests.
Marketing director Iain Mayer said: “There is a limited amount of information that can be included in brochures. Our new site will give agents a greater opportunity to source both destination information and product that can then be passed on to the customer.
“The Canadian market shows an increasing demand for more bolt-on packages to itineraries, and the site will improve the service we offer.”
The site is currently a standalone information source and is found at www.globespan.com
As a forerunner to Globespan’s expanded 2000 programme, due out just before Christmas, the operator has released a special millennium/New Year brochure covering next year’s flights and a sample of ground arrangements.
Product includes tours by coach and rail, flexible flydrive itineraries and short breaks to Toronto and Niagara Falls. It also includes more non-stop charter flights from London, Manchester and Glasgow with Air Transat and increased use of the carrier’s new Airbus A330s.
Gatwick-Toronto services in peak season rise from five or six a week this year to daily in 2000. Eastern Canada flights have been stepped up over the 1999/2000 Christmas and New Year period.
Mayer added: “For those wanting a shopping trip to Toronto, we’ve got some unbeatable prices. In November they start at £299 for a six-night break in Toronto or a two-centre with Niagara Falls, including flights, accommodation, taxes and transfers.”
