Flawed by ’70s projections

AFEW red faces were spotted at Backchat’s world headquarters this week after the techno-heads from Amadeus paid a visit to show off their latest kit.

A small army of corporate bods crowded into a compact boardroom, eager to enlighten Backchat’s team of Luddites on the appliance of science.

But sod’s law swung into action as soon as the overhead projector was set up and refused to work. Eventually it was decided to abandon the original plans and give a demonstration of the global distribution system on a small, hard-to-see laptop.

While words of sympathy were extended, Backchat had to stop from delighting in the irony that the techies might be able to talk you through the latest in Internet wizardry but a simple 1970s-style projector was too much of a challenge.
