Crystal unveils plans for third new ship in 2003
CRYSTALCruises has announced plans to introduce a third ship to its fleet for delivery in late June 2003.
The 68,000-ton vessel, yet to be named, will offer capacity for 1,080 guests.
On-board dining facilities will include three alternative speciality restaurants – Italian, Asian and a sushi bar. An alternative evening restaurant, with casual indoor or outdoor poolside dining will offer a fourth option.
Other facilities include a computer room, called university@sea, which will include a 24-hour Internet centre and a private area for one-to-one computer instruction.
Crystal Cruises president Joseph Watters said:”While we plan to introduce a new state-of-the-art, innovative ship, we also want to maintain the brand consistency valued by our guests and travel agents. In response to their feedback, our third ship will expand upon the best of our existing ships Crystal Harmony and Crystal Symphony.”
Feedback has led to the creation of a full promenade around the exterior of the ship for walking and jogging and a sports deck with a golf-driving range, a shuffleboard court and a table tennis area.
