Ambience:heavy on the Alpine charm. Landlocked on all sides, Switzerland’s regions resemble the country whose border is nearest.
Wild activities: there is plenty of opportunity for high-altitude walking. Peaks such as the Jungfrau and the Eiger can be accessed from Interlaken, Wengen and Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland.
mild activities: using public transport is a pleasure rather than a chore, making touring a popular option. The Glacier Express train between Zermatt and Davos is known as the slowest express in the world.
