Marathon offer for loyal client
WHAT better way to ensure repeat business than to ferry your most loyal customers to and from marathons?
National Express lent a helping hand to 73-year-old marathon runner Hugh Turner of Nuttall, near Nottingham, with the offer of free travel to and from London on Sunday.
The sprightly pensioner, who took up marathon running more than 10 years ago, has entered a staggering 130 mara-thons across the UK.
Eastwood Travel Centre manager Sallyann Bacon said: “He has been a customer of ours for the past 12 years. We issue all his coach tickets and get to see his growing collection of running medals.”
* This year’s Flora London Marathon attracted more than 32,000 runners. How long did it take you to finish and what were you wearing?
