Operator boosts options with more mid-range properties

A RANGE of new properties and a direct flight from Manchester to Cuba have been introduced to Thomson’s 2002 Faraway Shores brochure.

The programme offers holidays from November this year through to October 2002.

New are three-star hotels in Cancun, two in Barbados and one in Jamaica as the operator looks to offer more mid-range accommodation.

Long-haul general manager Jeannette Linfoot said: “We want to capture more of this market than we have done previously.”

It is also looking to attract more upmarket customers to Jamaica, Sri Lanka and Goa with the addition of four-star à la carte hotels in each destination. Hotels have also been added in Barbados and the Dominican Republic.

To increase flexibility, seven and 21-day holidays are now available in Antigua, St Lucia and Cuba. The latter is expected also to benefit from the launch of a direct service from Manchester which will operate every Wednesday.

Offers for group bookings are available with one person travelling free in parties of five or more.
