Tampa Bay
As well as its gateway location to the Gulf Coast region, Tampa will be promoting its non-stop British Airways service from Gatwick alongside its growing cruise business. Both Carnival Cruises and Holland America Line are developing voyages from the port city to Mexico and the Caribbean.
New attractions represented at the show include the $45 million Ybor City entertainment, shopping and dining complex at Tampa’s Latin Quarter, and the $35 million Garrison Seaport Centre, which has similar facilities and attractions.
The Tampa Town Ferry has started daily passenger services from The Tampa Marriott Waterside convention centre hotel to the Florida Aquarium, Harbour Island, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Centre and the Henry B Plant Museum, which depicts the work of the Floridian railroad entrepreneur.
