Balkan Holidays adds resorts
BALKAN Holidays has expanded its Slovenian ski offer for winter 2001/02 by adding the resorts of Bled and Bohinj.
The operator previously only featured Kranjska Gora.
Operations manager Chris Rand said: “Kranjska Gora has sold well, so expansion in Slovenia makes sense. Bled and Bohinj provide excellent value. They are not as busy as Borovets and Pamporovo in Bulgaria. With Poiana Brasov in Romania, we now offer a good range of winter resorts.”
Seven nights’ half-board leads in at £285 at the three-star Alpina in Kranjska Gora. Prices for Bohinj start at £299 for the three-star Zlatorog. In Poiana Brasov, Balkan has added the three-star Alpin for 2001/02. The resort’s lead-in price is £275, for seven nights’ half-board at the two-star Ciucas.
“Poiana Brasov is among the best resorts for learning to ski. A six-day lift pass costs £45, against £77 in Kranjska Gora,” Rand added.
