AMSTERDAM has been revealed as the most popular short-break
destination for visitors to the Cheapflights.com website.
The Internet-based travel company has produced a league
table showing the most popular short-break destinations throughout July.
In reverse order, the top-ten were: Florence, Venice,
Madrid, Rome, Prague, Paris, Barcelona, Dublin, New York and Amsterdam.
The league table was drawn from the number of page
impressions requested on the website’s short-breaks pages.
Cheapflights.com joint chief executive officer David Soskin
said: “Not surprisingly, Amsterdam, always a favourite on our flights page, has
come out top. What is interesting is that New York is now firmly considered by
our British and Irish travellers as a short-break destination.”
