Austrian contingent targets WTMfor product promotion
AUSTRIAN Airlines Group and Austrian Holidays are to launch more flights to Australia and a new brochure on Austria at next month’s World Travel Market.
Austrian Airlines, one of three carriers belonging to the group, will promote its Eastern European routes at the show – at London’s Earl’s Court from November 12-15 – while sister airline Lauda Air will announce it is boosting its weekly flights to Australia from five to six from next January.
Austrian Holidays is offering agents two free flights to the Austrian capital of Vienna for every five package holidays booked from its ‘Passionate About Austria’ brochure.
A spokeswoman said: “Although the more traditional aspects of Austrian breaks remain – the lakes, mountains, the arts and music – a new vitality has been injected into the programmes with health and fitness packages.”
The brochure includes departures from Heathrow to Vienna with Austrian Airlines or from Manchester to Vienna with Lauda Air. Tyrolean Airways, the group’s regional carrier, will transfer passengers throughout Austria.
