Factfile: New Zealand Adventure Options

Hayes and Jarvis offers add-on options

Hayes and Jarvis’ first Australia and New Zealand brochure has a mixture of self-drive, coach tours and adventure-activity add-ons. A 21-day Great New Zealand Experience escorted coach tour takes in Rotorua and the Bay of Islands on North Island and Franz Josef Glacier, Queenstown and Dunedin on South Island. It costs £2,840 including accommodation, breakfast, dinner and ground transport, but excludes flights from the UK.

All Ways Pacific Markets Family Choice

All Ways Pacific Travel’s forthcoming Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific brochure is featuring new bed-and-breakfast accommodation for clients who want to stay in small, family-run properties. Prices are from about £35 per person per night. The brochure is due out next week.

Adventure Seekers To Try The Fly By Wire

Ticked bungee jumping off your list of must-dos? Fly by Wire is the latest craze in New Zealand. Thrill-seekers swoop and soar at speeds of up to 106mph over a canyon suspended from a bridge and strapped to a rocket (an aircraft with no wings). The ride can be experienced at Tuckers Beach, 25mins from Queensland, and costs about £40 per ride. Contact Paul Harrap on tel/fax: 00 64 3442 2116 for more details.
