Sol Melia, Marriott and German company Frosch Touristik have been short-listed to manage the 1,000-bed White Rocks holiday village at Baharic-Caghaq. The complex is to be sold by the Maltese government.

The five-star Le Meridien Phoenicia has converted its fourth floor into an executive level. Its 34 rooms have been refurbished and an executive lounge added.
PORT DEVELOPMENT TO BEGIN IN OCTOBER
Work is due to start on Malta’s long-awaited cruise passenger terminal at Valletta in October. The facility will encourage cruiselines to use Malta as their home port.

St Patrick’s Hotel in Gozo is building an extension that will add up to 14 superior guest rooms. The 49-room, four-star hotel is situated by the bay at Xlendi.
SAUDIS TO TEE OFF WITH GOLF COURSE PLAN
The Maltese government has received a proposal from Saudi Arabian investors to build the island’s second golf course near Rabat. Three applications are in hand – they include another for Rabat and one for Gozo.
