SIX Continents has released preliminary figures showing a
pre tax profit of £731 million for the year ending September 30, a fall of 3.3%
on last year.
Operating profit, meanwhile, was £792 million, up 2.1%.
Six Continents chief executive Tim Clarke said the group had
performed well in a difficult economic climate.
Meanwhile, the hotel chain denied it is to take over rival
Starwood, but did not rule out making further acquisitions.
