THE Foreign and Commonwealth Office is advising against
travel to the Jammu and Kashmir regions of India because of military tensions
along its border with Pakistan.
In addition, travellers are being advised to steer clear of
most northern regions of Pakistan. Travellers are also being warned that
trans-border coach and rail services between the nations have been suspended.
The FCO website states that troop numbers have been
increased along the two nation’s borders following recent political problems.
