police ask for help following heathrow robbery

POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery at
Heathrow airport earlier today.

At least two men approached the driver of a British Airways
security van near terminal four at 6.30am this morning. The suspects forced the
driver to the ground and tied his hands behind his back before emptying cash
from the BA vehicle into a Renault Mastervan with BA livery.  

The suspects drove away and have not been seen since. The van
they used was discovered in Feltham and had been burnt out.

The security van driver was taken to hospital where he was
treated for minor injuries to his wrists.

Anyone witnesses to the incident are being asked to call the
Flying Squad at Barnes on 020 8247 7931.
