BRITISH
Airways chief executive Rod Eddington is preparing to face his harshest critics
after agreeing to give the keynote speech at this year’s ABTA Convention in
Cairo.
Delegates
will be able to fire questions at the BA boss after his speech.
An
ABTA spokesman said: “Rod Eddington has told us he would like to speak if he
can – the date is in his diary.”
In
the meantime, Eddington’s managers face unhappy travel agents on Wednesday when
a group attend BA’s Waterside headquarters to discuss lower payments and fare
structures. The session will mainly consist of business travel agents.
Advantage director of business travel Norman Gage said: “I believe BA will
follow the structure of the low-cost carriers in that they will yield manage
the seats better.”
