BRITISH Airways is keeping agents hanging on the telephone
for more than half an hour as it attempts to sort out problems with its new
reservation system. Callers should get through in 30 seconds but difficulties
with the Amadeus technology, which replaced the 30-year-old BABS system, are
delaying calls. Experts will work round-the-clock to rectify the problem.
