TRAVEL INN TARGETS UNIVERSITY GRADUATES

Budget hotel chain Travel Inn has launched a graduate
training programme to enable it to attract top university leavers to its
expanding portfolio.

Shooting Stars is a one-year training course which
involves spending six months in a city centre hotel and six months in a
provincial property. There are also nine modules covering areas such as finance
and human resources.

Travel Inn aims to recruit six to eight graduates
every three months through the scheme. Trainees who successfully complete the
programme are guaranteed a management position.

Human resources director Michelle Luxford said:
“On average we open a new Travel Inn every 10 days and it is important for
us to have properly trained team members who can be promoted.”
