THE
British Incoming Tour Operators Association has appointed Stephen Dowd as its
new chief executive.
He
will work alongside incumbent Richard Tobias who leaves on February 4.
Dowd
has been working as a consultant to the meetings and travel industry, with
clients including Grayling Events and the Danish Tourist Board. He has also
served as chairman on the Travel, Tourism and Events National Training
Organisation steering committee.
He said: “I realise Richard Tobias will be a hard
act to follow but I am confident my past experience will help me in this very
challenging role.”
