EasyJet announces first three routes from Newcastle

EASYJET has revealed its first services from Newcastle
Airport will be to Alicante, Barcelona and Belfast from April.

Services to Bristol, Paris and Prague will follow in
August, with more routes planned for 2004.

The carrier will initially base two
aircraft at the airport, rising to four by the end of next year. It anticipates
it will attract close to one million customers in its first full-year from the
airport.

Fares to Belfast start at £12.50 one-way, with
Alicante starting from £27.50.

EasyJet sales and marketing
manager David Magliano said: “As well as offering new weekend break and
holiday destinations, the new routes will bring European tourists to the north
east and boost local businesses.”
