Thomas Cook Holidays has included more flydrive itineraries to New England, the Southern states and the West, while its range of hotels in Las Vegas and New York have been greatly increased in its Signature America brochure, which runs to this December.
US product manager Matt Hill said: “Once Virgin Atlantic launches its Las Vegas service in June, we see the city as a massively expanding area and we are looking at putting together a separate flyer programme and increasing our Arizona offering.”
Thomas Cook has also widened the choice of Texas ranch stays with the introduction of the X-Bar Ranch in Eldorado for £71 per person per night.
Its New York hotel range has risen from five properties last year to 16 this year, and Hill said he had secured some very aggressive rates because of a softening of the market.
For example, the three-star Hotel Metro, within walking distance of Madison Square Gardens, costs from £41 per person per night with breakfast.
Hill said: “Pricing for our US product is now very competitive throughout, and we have seen a strong increase in family bookings to Florida where our rates are very sharp.”
