The resort
Situated on the south east coast of the Dominican Republic, on Bayahibe Beach in La Romana, Sunscape Casa del Mar La Romana comprises acres of swaying palms, lush gardens and white sand beach wrapped around a large central swimming pool with Jacuzzi and bar.
From the moment our guests are met with a complimentary cocktail and homemade chocolate chip cookies, they’ll find themselves in a relaxed, welcoming and beautifully landscaped environment.
Accommodations
Our luxury accommodations come complete with a private and furnished terrace or balcony, and are furnished with one king-size or two double beds.
Each is air-conditioned and features satellite TV and a daily refreshed mini-bar with soft drinks, juices and bottled water. The majority of rooms offer views of the Caribbean Sea.
Sunscape Club guests benefit from additional amenities, including chips, peanuts, chocolate and Gatorade in the mini-bar; a handmade gift; DVD player; complimentary bottle of rum; and a bathrobe, slippers and two Sunscape t-shirts.

Our activities centre is open from 8am right through to 6pm, offering organized activities, sports and games equipment, or just beach towels for those who want to take it easy!
Water activities include sailboats,catamarans, ocean climbing iceberg, kayaking, snorkeling, boogie boards, ocean trampoline and scuba lessons. Land activities include daily beach soccer and beach volleyball games, bocce ball, local bicycle tours, horseback riding, Spanish/dancing lessons and shuffle board.
We also have a tennis centre with professional coaches (open 8am to 8pm) and a fitness centre offering cardio-conditioning equipment such as treadmills, lifecycles, step machines and free weights.
Explorer’s Club for kids
Set in the unique “jungle village”, our Explorer’s Club keeps kids (3 – 12 years) enthralled with a programme of supervised adventures and activities.
The programme is posted at the Activities Centre daily, and includes horseback riding, ocean climbing iceberg, sandcastle competitions, arts & crafts, big-screen movies on the beach, and our weekly Campout adventure.
Relax
The Spa offers a range of world-class treatments in two unforgettable environments.
One is designed to create a tropical, Zen-like atmosphere, while the second is an ecological wonderland where lush winding paths bring you to quiet, secluded massage huts.
We offer a variety of massages, body treatments, reflexology, hydrotherapies and beauty services. Among the spa’s facilities are cedar saunas, outdoor whirlpools, Jacuzzis and a full-service beauty salon.
