FUTURE Travel’s Fay Thompson has gone back to school to share her knowledge of the industry with tomorrow’s professionals.
Having worked in high street agencies and now general manager of the company’s instant cruise holidays and personal travel advisors divisions, Thompson is well-placed to tell students how the sector works.
She was a guest speaker at Blackburn College’s careers and information day, which was organised to give pupils informed advice on travel and tourism and help them make the right decisions.
She said: “A high street travel agent branch is always a good place to start, but I wanted the students to see that you don’t have to remain there to enjoy a successful and rewarding travel career”.
