Agency owner’s charity mini-adventure

A TRAVEL agent is gearing up for a long distance mini-adventure, all in the name of charity.

Next month Above and Beyond Travel owner Mal Ellison from Crosshills in West Yorkshire will drive 2,300 miles from his home town to Kos in Greece in a 1976 P-registration Mini.

Joined by a friend, he will drive through 10 different countries in a week. Ellison hopes to raise up to £15,000 for a local cancer hospice, Manorlands in Oxenhope.

He said: “A couple of my friends have had cancer and spent time at the hospice. It’s a great charity and cancer is a disease that touches us all.”
