GERMAN accommodation-only company Hotel.de has launched a UK operation under the name TravelRes.
The company, which will sell direct to the consumer and work for corporate clients, has located its head office in Wimbledon, London.
It will be run by managing director Philipp Dostal and supported by country manager Roger Niemeyer. The UK sales team comprises of Owen Easteal and Jolyon Harris.
Dostal said the site, which sells 180,000 hotels woldwide, would look to create a corporate business by targeting UK-based subsidiaries of German companies.
Further sites are to be launched in Spain, France, Holland and The Czech Republic as it aims to make the company the leading accommodation-only firm in Europe.
