NCL announces ‘Autumn Sail’ – 27 Oct 2006

Norwegian Cruise Line has introduced a new Autumn Sail programme of savings to stimulate bookings.


Bookings made during the one-week sale from October 30 for sailings on selected five-night Caribbean cruises and Pride of Aloha Honolulu Hawaii cruises until April 30 will come with onboard credit ranging from $25 to $150 depending on the categroy of stateroom.


There are also two-category cabin upgrades available.


Meanwhile sister-cruiseline and destination specialist Orient Lines has scrapped single suplements on its East meets West cruise departing on October 25 and November 3.


Last week, NCL chief executive and president Colin Veitch was named 2006 Maritime Personality of the Year by the International Propeller Club of the US in recognition of the cruieline’s development of its US-flagged ships that operate year round in Hawaii.


Under its NCL America brand the cruiseline operates Pride of Aloha, which was the first US-flagged ship to be built in 50 years when it was delivered in 2004, followed by the Pride of America in 2005 and Pride of Hawaii this year. The three ships cost a total of $1.3 billion.
