Niche river and ocean cruise operator Peter Deilmann Cruises has joined the Passenger Shipping Association’s Retail Agents training scheme.
PSARA will be working with Privately-owned, German-based Peter Deilmann Cruises to offer agents in-depth knowledge and understanding of cruise products and the sales and marketing of cruising at agency level.
Managing director Mark Lewsey said: “As river cruising becomes increasingly popular, the development of agent training in selling river cruise prodcuts is crucial in ensuring agents are better equiped to sell this product in the UK.
“PSARA is committed to training agents in both river and ocean cruise products and we are very much looking forward to working together in the future.”
PSARA director of business development Andy Harmer added: “The opportunity for Peter Deilmann to work much more closely with agents, and their commitment to the UK trade is fantastic recogniotion of the importance of the cruise market to travel agents.”
Meanwhile Peter Deilmann has introduced a new CRM system and expanded sales team as new, larger London offices.
