The Tenerife Tourism Corporation has become the first travel and tourism organisation to sign up to the new Holiday 07 WebTV series hosted by former ABTA head of corporate affairs Keith Betton.
The 30-minute broadcast that will feature an interview conducted by Betton with an industry expert and will appear on partner websites coinciding with the busy post-Christmas booking period for holidays.
The firm behind Holiday 07 WebTV, Markettiers4dc, said there was a lot of interest at last week’s ABTA Travel Convention in Marbella where a number of brands and agencies registered their interest.
Strategic development director Karen Brooks said: “Brand funded content is the ideal way to successfully combine entertainment to ensure that a brand’s target markets can be engaged and informed, delivers the editorial needs of a media owner for strong content and the marketing communication objectives of a brand.
“Keith’s involvement is crucial as his knowledge and experience of the travel industry and destinations will add understanding and expertise to the content as he’ll know what a destination, for example, has to offer that will be of interest to the traveller and gives credibility to the series.”
