First Choice marketing restructure – 22 Dec 2006

First Choice has restructured its marketing team and made three redundancies in order to focus on four key areas of activity.

The redundancies are marketing services director Steve Baily, senior marketing services manager Lloyd Meyheux and PR manager distribution Rachel Aked.

The new structure sees head of marketing communications Andy Laurillard head up the operator’s entire marketing strategy, which includes customer relationship management, the company’s design team and research.

This department is split into four areas: direct marketing, customer insight, brand development and PR and marketing.

The new head of direct marketing is Jeremy Gidley, and customer insight will be headed up by former product development manager Luke Gaskins. The customer insight team includes the customer database management team, analytics team and customer research.

Head of brand development David Seal is in charge of the new brand development team with additional responsibility to evolve the First Choice brand. Former communications manager Emma Waddell is now head of PR and marketing services and will also co-ordinate third party regional airport and tourist board activity.
