Three people are reported to have died following a suicide bomb in the Israeli Red Sea resort of Eilat.
The blast tore through a bakery in a residential neighbourhood early this morning (Monday). Eilat is a popular winter sun and diving destination for tourists.
According to reports several Palestinian militant groups said they carried out the attack – the first suicide bombing in Israel since April 2006.
Eilat police commander Bruno Stein told the BBC that there may be more bombers on the loose.
“Our assumption is that it’s not one bomber, and there might be more bombers in Eilat right now,” he said.
