Holidaybreak enters home ownership market by selling caravans – 19 Feb 2007

Holidaybreak has entered the holiday home ownership market by allowing people to buy caravans on European sites.

The self-catering specialist – which owns Keycamp and Eurocamp – has launched Own a Holiday Home offering mobile homes on 11 European camp sites.

Own a Holiday Home general manager Fiona Macmillan said the operator plans to take advantage of the trend for holiday home ownership, which has seen overseas property purchases treble in the last 10 years.

The accommodation costs start from £23,000, which includes a fitted dishwasher and air-conditioning.

Any purchases in the Cote d’Azur holiday park Prairies de la Mer Park in Port Grimaud receive free decking worth £1,475.
