Future Travel looks for part-time homeworkers – 21 March 2007

Future Travel has launched a new recruitment scheme in a bid to attract part-time homeworkers to the company.

The Holiday Now division aims to attract more homeworkers by offering new starters to work a minimum of 20 hours a week compared to full time hours.

Holiday Now general manager Sue Dennis said: “We review the industry on an on-going basis to see how we can improve, and we found there was a need for more part-time contracts and flexible working hours.

“People who join the Holiday Now division will earn 30% commission, all calls will be centrally generated and there will be no rotas to fulfil or Teletext pages to update. They can start and finish work when they want and can work as many hours as they please.”

She continued: “This isn’t designed to be a second job or a way of earning extra income on the side. It is a good introduction to homeworking which we think will prove popular with mothers or people who can’t work full-time.”
