Travel 2/4 staff could soon be able to apply for jobs and secondments in Australia thanks to closer links with its sister companies.
Managing director Maria Whiteman said following the acquisition of the company by S8, the operator will make working abroad and job swaps easier with opportunities advertised on the group’s intranet site.
Australian staff have already taken advantage of the opportunity and will start placements in Travel 2/4’s Glasgow call centre this autumn.
She added: “The key focus for Travel 2/4 is creating expertise and this would help. Staff working abroad can learn more while having Australian staff here means they can take calls and get involved in training.”
The operator is also hoping to drive long-haul sales with the introduction of 10% discounts on all hotels booked in Australia and New Zealand before the end of May, while 5% reductions are available on Middle East properties.
