UPMARKET specialist Unicorn Holidays has warned agents that they are losing out on high-value bookings to Spain and Portugal because they are so used to selling the cheap alternatives.
Managing director Jim Southon said customers wanting more expensive high-quality holidays are deterred by hesitant retailers and therefore book direct. “Some agents become a little apprehensive when they see an expensive holiday to Spain because they feel it should be cheaper. The customer notices this and doesn’t make the booking with the agent,” he said.
Unicorn’s new 2000 brochure features the five-star Kempinski Hotel in Estepona with a three-night break leading in at £598.
