The firms said TUI had developed an understanding of the online travel habits of AOL customers, making the the travel giant the ‘right fit’ for AOL.
The deal includes new functions, tools and content for the AOL portal.
- A ‘Where’s Hot’ tool will allow users to find holidays in the sun within their budget and flight time requirements.
- An ‘Inspiration Page’ will introduce users to off-the-beaten-track destinations.
- Thomson.co.uk destination and resort video content will be integrated into AOL’s travel channel.
Pete Norwood, TUI UK affiliates manager, said “The addition of our video content and improved user interaction features allows us to reach out directly to the AOL user-base and showcase the breadth of product now available on Thomson.co.uk”
