Travel Weekly has joined forces with BP Travel Marketing Services for a final push to sign up 100 agents for the launch of the Green Brochure Charter.
Already 91 agents and 25 tour operators have signed up to the brochure distribution company’s three-month trial to cut brochure wastage.
The charter will put the onus on agents, rather than operators, to manage brochure stocks through BP’s existing Trade-Gate online ordering system. Agents will be able to order specific numbers of brochures, according to how many are in a pack.
Marketing manager Phil Taylor hopes to start the trial in August. He said: “This is the last push before we launch – we just need to get to a minimum of 100 agents.”
The company will then match up operators and agents to ensure all can take part. For the three-month trial to work agents need to sell some of the 25 operators already signed up.
