Olympic Holidays invests in diving product – 23 Aug 2007

Red Sea specialist Olympic Holidays has appointed a diving executive and announced an expansion of its pre-bookable dive packages.

New dive director Robbie Renalson is a qualified PADI staff instructor who has joined Olympic Holidays to expand its diving product, initially in the Red Sea.

“Olympic is moving into diving in a big way and my job is to develop the product and increase the number of diving clients we send to the Red Sea,” he said.

“We had a small core diving product with pre-bookable packages in Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada – now we are incorporating the resorts of Dahab, El Gouna and Makadi Bay in the diving offer.”

Renalson added that the Red Sea was one of the best diving spots for the UK market because of the relatively short flying time and excellent conditions. “That’s why so many diving clients return to the region year after year,” he said.

Olympic offers Discover Scuba Diving introduction courses from £45 and more advanced four-day open water courses from £155.

Olympic deals with PADI-recognised Red Sea dive centres that have a full range of PADI diving courses. It also offers Scuba School International and British Sub Aqua Club products.
