Principal Hayley, the hotel and conference operator backed by Permira Funds, has acquired three hotels from a group of private investors for £50 million.
The sale which will be completed on November 30 will see the Sheffield Marriott hotel, the Renaissance Derby Nottingham and the Renaissance Solihull rebranded under the Principal Hayley name.
This gives the company 20 properties and venues around the UK and Europe with a combined capacity of 3,400 bedrooms and 450 meeting rooms.
The operator has also appointed John Ryan as group sales and marketing director with responsibilty for driving the sales and marketing strategy across the group.
