Singapore Airlines has taken delivery of a second Airbus A380 and the aircraft should begin flying from Heathrow in March.
The double-deck aircraft, nicknamed the Superjumbo, will carry 471 passengers and includes 12 double-bed suites in first class.
Singapore is the only airline currently flying the A380, having taken delivery of the first aircraft off the production line in October – now flying daily between Singapore and Sydney.
The airline will have a third aircraft delivered in late February, allowing it to use two of the A380s to operate one of its three daily services between Heathrow and Singapore.
