On the road
Petrol is cheap – just half UK prices. A litre costs between 34p and 38p.
Don’t park where you shouldn’t. If your car is towed away it will cost £28 to get it back.
Petrol stations open from 7am until 7pm-8pm daily; in summer until 10pm. There are a few 24hr petrol stations.
To drive in Croatia, you need a valid national driving licence
Driving is on the right-hand side. Speed limits are 30mph in towns and villages, 50mph outside built-up areas and 80mph on highways.
Don’t drink and drive – the maximum permitted alcohol level in the blood is 0.05%.
