Agency recruits specialist homeworker to sell cruise

A Travel Weekly Cruise Club agent is set to grow his business by recruiting specialist cruise homeworkers to the company.

Chorleywood-based Ultimate Destinations joined the Travel Weekly Cruise Club last year to boost business and increase cruise sales.

Now owner Alan Haynes, pictured, has branched out and at the end of last year he recruited homeworker Corin Germany from Norwich to work for Ultimate Destinations and specialise in selling cruise holidays.

He also plans to recruit a couple more homeworkers in the near future.

Haynes said: “I have now got to the stage where I have grown the business and now I need to continue with running the company.

“Corin already has customer ship visits planned for Fred Olsen’s Balmoral and Braemar and has negotiated group rates on selected cruises.

“I am looking to recruit more homeworkers, I would like them to be either be ACE accredited members or at least working towards achieving accreditation. I’m not trying to be one of the big players, I want to attract customers with knowledgable staff and high levels of customer service.

“I would like regional coverage  – it would make sense to have homeworkers based where there are ports.”

Ultimate Destinations, which is a member of Hays Independence Group, is also planning to launch a cruise website, Ultimatecruise.co.uk and Haynes held a cruise and luxury holiday fair in his town this year.
