A travel agent is celebrating after seeing a record-breaking number of people attend his holiday and travel show.
Newell’s Travel managing partner Roger Hawke said more than 2,000 people attended the Holiday 2008 show in Truro, Cornwall, on Sunday where 39 tour operators had stalls.
During the day-long event, customers could talk to operators and find the holidays they require before making a booking at the Newell’s Travel stand, ensuring the agency gets its commission payments.
Hawke estimated the event would generate a six-figure turnover.
