Disney Cruise Line extends Star Wars at Sea voyages

Disney Cruise Line is set to continue running Star Wars Day at Sea in 2018.

Fifteen Disney Fantasy sailings to the Caribbean are planned from January to April.

Passengers meet Jedi, Wookiees, droids, Stormtroopers and might bump into Darth Vader on the ship during the day-long cruises.

“The Force is stronger than ever onboard the Disney Fantasy, and we are excited to bring back Star Wars Day at Sea in 2018,” said Karl Holz, president of Disney Cruise Line.

“The popularity of the event over the past two years inspired us to continue immersing our guests in the Star Wars galaxy. Everyone, from the youngest Padawan to the most knowledgeable Jedi Master, is invited to enjoy this event of galactic proportions and make memories that will last a lifetime.”

The event features a full day of Star Wars celebrations including a deck party complete with fireworks display, encounters with the galaxy’s most formidable and heroic characters, Star Wars-themed family and youth activities, themed  food and drink and bespoke merchandise.

Guests are encouraged to wear costumes and can have their photos taken with characters from the films. They can test their wits with on-bard Jedi training and Star Wars trivia games.
