The Elite Travel Group has announced that this year’s conference will be held in Lanzarote.
The event will take place from October 16 to 20 in the Gran Melia Salinas hotel and organisers are hoping that more than 200 delegates will attend.
Elite chairman Wayne Darrock said: “Our conference theme is ‘Pure Elite’. We aim to keep all our presentations short and to the point with every subject and topic relevant to our members.”
Spanish Tourist Office director Ignacio Vasallo said it was hoped the consortium’s decision to host the conference in Lanzarote would help drive plans to boost the number of UK visitors to the island from 814,000 last year.
He added: “Working with Elite, and with the support and collaboration of all involved, we can develop even stronger working relationships between the destination and the UK tourism market.
“One of our key commitments is to not only sustain but to ensure the growth of UK visitors to Lanzarote and Spain as a whole, and we are continually working to exceed visitor expectations.”
