HAMPSHIRE Borders Tourism has raised £250,000 to develop six cycle routes around the county.
The series of signposted trails is being designed so that visitors can access them from local train stations. They will be of varying lengths to suit experienced and non-experienced cyclists.
The tourist office is planning to put together information packs covering places to see, eat and stay along the routes.
Work has already started and is expected to be concluded by spring 2001.
