Monarch Holidays has reported a “significant” increase in sales through the high street as it announced the appointments of three new business development executives.
The operator said strong sales in Greece and Turkey had helped boost sales, alongside its city break programme which now goes to Zagreb and Porto. Monarch added that it’s largest ever Lapland programme helped the firm finish last year strongly.
Emma Fuller joins the team from within the Monarch Group, whilst James Carvetta and Hayley Morris join the company from high street travel agency roles. All three will report into Simon Garrido, head of trade sales.
Garrido said: “We are delighted to welcome Emma, James and Hayley to the Monarch Holidays team. They are all experienced with great travel and trade knowledge and will have a key role to play in building relationships with a greater number of agents.
“We’ve got a lot to shout about at the moment and these new roles will help us do that. The BDEs will be out and about visiting agents and building the sort of relationships that will add value for both parties”.
Gary Anslow, Monarch sales director said: “We have had a very strong start to the year and have seen strong volume growth through all of our agent partners.”
Anslow said Monarch’s new trade website is “paying dividends” and £59 deposit has helped deliver the operator’s “best ever conversion rates through the trade website” and its Stockport contact centre.
