Accommodation only provider HotelConnect has launched a ‘Goodnight Promise’ for agents in a bid to differentiate itself from ‘fast-food style’ bed banks.
The eight point pledge makes promises about HotelConnect’s quality, price and customer service. Appearing on the agent booking page, the promises reminds agents that it will act as principal, bookings will be stress free, and hotels will be regularly inspected.
Commercial manager Ian Ackland said: “Not all accomomodation suppliers are the same – indeed some have a poor reputation when it comes to delivering quality and reliability. It is important we distance ourselves from those bedbanks that are the equivalent of fast food outlets.”
Unlike other bed banks, HotelConnect only is selective about which hotels it works with and provides a better level of agent support including downloadable marketing materials, he said.
Other developments on the site include a new cruise hub and a revamped shopping hub, with top ten shopping destinations in the world.
