Agents need to give added value to customers, says Premier Holidays

Premier Holidays says travel agents need to give added value to customers or they could lose them to the internet.

Premier Holidays head of sales and marketing Debbie Goffin said offering extra services such as spa and restaurant bookings will mean the customer is more likely to to book their next holiday with the travel agent.

The holiday company is offering its agents a concierge service, which neither Premier Holidays or the agent receives commission on, which allows the agent to book a number of additional services. All customers staying at its Platinum and Prestige Collection hotels can make a restaurant reservation or book in for a golf day before they leave the UK.

Goffin said: “It’s a real benefit for agents and it makes them look great and its added value for clients.

“The future is bright if you are prepared to give service – people will come back.”

“If you don’t offer anything extra you will lose them to the internet.”
