Funway to revamp MoneyCard after trio of partners quit

MoneyCard is to overhaul its agent rewards scheme in the wake of three partners – Affordable Car Hire, Collette and If Only – dropping out.

Funway Holidays, which set up MoneyCard in July 2013, and Norwegian Cruise Line remain partners and are in talks with new suppliers interested in joining the scheme, which has 6,000 travel agent members.

Funway marketing director Nick Talbot said the scheme would be revamped over the next three months. New rewards already introduced include £100 for Funway bookings of over £20,000, and £20 for bookings of five nights or more on NCL’s sailings in Europe and £10 on all other sailings.

“We are enhancing the services of MoneyCard with new incentives, along with longer‑term projects in the pipeline. We welcome new partners.”

If Only is launching its own scheme in May. Marketing manager Tom Higgins said: “We’ve worked successfully with MoneyCard for two years, but we decided to explore alternative options.”

Collette head of marketing Michelle Laverick said: “More and more of our key consortia partners have their own schemes or prefer to be rewarded in different ways.”
