MANCHESTER Airport is to install check-in facilities at railway stations within the hub’s catchment area.
Director of business development Bill Savage said check-in desks will be offered at Manchester Piccadilly and also railway stations such as Leeds, Liverpool and York by the end of next year. “Integrated transport solutions are the key to the future,” said Savage. He also forecast there would be more consolidation among airport operators, fuelling speculation that Manchester will acquire another airport. It bought Humberside Airport in the summer.
